Fees at Newlands School

Newlands School is a fee-paying international school, regulated by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). All information and communication relating to school fees is approved by the KHDA.

Fee Structure

In accordance with KHDA regulations, the school is opening in 2017 for the Early Years and Primary Year Groups only.

Founding Parents Tuition Fees (registered before 10 September, 2017)

Parents who register in the pre-operating year to start on September 10th, 2017 are categorised as parents who were eligible for founding fee discounts. Parents who register before 10th September for future years will not be eligible for the founding fee discount as this only applies to children who attend in the first year of operations.  These parents will follow this fee schedule for one year from until the next academic year 2018/19. Founding parents will then move on to the KHDA approved fee schedule. The fee structure is represented in the table below:

Application Fee

An application fee of AED 500 must be paid prior to your child’s assessment. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Admission Fee (Deposit)

To secure your child’s place for the next academic year 2018/2019, a non-refundable admission fee of 30% of the annual fees is required to be paid within 3 days of the offer. This will be deducted from the first term fees.

Tuition Fees

The first term’s fees are due prior to the start of the academic year. A student may not start the academic year unless the first term’s fees are paid in full. The second term’s fees will be invoiced at the start of December to ensure that payments can be processed before the start of the term. The third term’s fees will be invoiced in early March, 2018.

If your circumstances change, it is essential that you contact us in advance of the deadline, so that we can support your needs. Tuition fees must be paid to ensure that your child/children can have access to the teaching, resources, facilities and extra-curricular programme.

Learning Resources & Assessment Charges

The school charges an additional fee for textbooks. The fee is 1200 AED per student in FS 1 and 2, 1750 AED per student in Years 1 to 6 and 2000 AED per student in Year 7. The fee is due with the first payment for Tuition Fees.

Refund Policy

In all circumstances, for new and existing students, deposits and fees will not be refunded if a child does not return to school for the next academic year or if they choose not to accept a place within the school. We reserve the right to refund tuition fees on a discretionary basis.


There are no sibling discounts.

We accept payment by cash, cheque or bank transfer:

Cash – please make payment to the school cashier only and make sure you get a receipt
